baumscheibe-drainage-terrasystem

Description

A drainage capable tree grid system ensures the permanent irrigation of a tree while desealing of land at the same time. It is easy to clean and easy to install. Thereby it provides a robust protection against almost all of the environmental influences. Only some of the essential features that are making it additionally recommendable for the use at a wide range of sites are: absolute environmental acceptability, completely recyclable, numberless decorative design options, durability, stability, quick to install, easy to maintain.

Material

For our tree grid system either the UV-stable, 1-components PU binder TS polyurethane resin base) or the light components EP binder TS 02 is used. 01 UV (adapted 2- (epoxy resin base) In  latter could slightly change colour in case of an UV exposure. Both systems are solvent-free and odourless.

Visual appearance

Depending on the location and tree species the shape of the tree grid can by variably designed and through various profiles it can be individually produced according to customer requirements. Takin into consideration the desired overall appearance the coverings can be designed from coloured quartz, glass or natural chippings. Through the numerous options to vary colours and grain sizes the details can be perfectly adapted to the environment. Our system features high mechanical strength and excellent water permeability and can be built in the medium to high layer thicknesses.

Application

This tree grid system can be used both for new and old tree population, whereby the root course of the trees always must be considered. The base layer is and 15-20 cm deep and can be filled or compacted for example using chippings of 8-11 mm. The covering is made by mixing the binder with the appropriate decorative material (in the granularity 2-3 mm or 4-6 mm) and applied, smoothed and compacted with a smoothing trowel or similar on the compacted base layer in a layer thickness of 2 – 4 cm. Depending on the grain size of the covering a consumption between 30 and 60 kg of decorative material (at a 2 – 4 cm layer thickness) and 1,5 – 2,0 kg of binder per m2 can be expected. Finally, the smoothed and well compacted surface is again varnished with 350 – 500 g/m2 of binder.
